My little one is nearly three months old and it has been the most joyful three months of our lives! I have been doing my light workout routine and clean eating based on our four lists. I feel great and I am ready to take my fitness to the next level. Over the next ten days I will be doing a series on Ten Ways to Tone Up in Ten Days. The end result is to eliminate the appearance of cellulite given to us by those lovely pregnancy hormones and to strengthen our after-baby-body (mainly abs and arms so we can hold that sweet baby as she is getting chubbier, yay). Look for a new post informing you of the health benefits of each item on the list per day.
Ten Ways to Tone Up in Ten Days
4. No Sugar
We will begin with the end in mind. Lets fix our eyes on our desired end result so when the going gets tough and life gets hard, we will have the self-discipline to persevere. Set yourself up for success by making healthy eating easy. When you don't feel like working out, start anyway. Even if your heart isn't into it at first, your blood will get pumping and you will gain the momentum you need to press on. Self discipline is like a muscle. The more you train it, the stronger it becomes. Stick with this and by the end of ten days you will be stronger, your mind and emotions clearer and you will have more energy to serve your family and play with your children. You will look and feel great, too :)
1 Corinthians 9:24-27(NASB)24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. 25 Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; 27 but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
