5 Friday Favorites

Today I would like to share with you five of my favorite things this week...
1.Our new Cabin  in the woods.

Our cabin will be a rental property which you can read about in this post.
We worked so hard to become debt free, and build our current home with cash.
You can read more about how we did that and are now building our dream home here.  For now our little cabin is a work in progress but we are so blessed and excited about the future.

2.My little BroBro is a doctor!
My little brother's last day of med school was this week and he is now officially a doctor. I am so proud of him for his hard work and perseverance. What an accomplishment! He loves to travel so he decided to do his schooling in Oklahoma, Dominica (an Island in the West Indies), Florida, California and New York. I am amazed. Great job, Dr. Bubba!

The Velvet Woods Yankee Candle is my absolute favorite. It's fragrance reminds me of a high end hotel. The aroma is subtle, soft yet fresh. It is also a highly scented candle, I can smell it when sitting in my living room while it is burning in my kitchen! I have always found this to be true of Yankee candles. They truly are superior. I have found that Amazon has the best price on this medium size, 3 wick candle.

4.  My Outdoor Light for our new build.

My husband surprised my by mounting my outdoor wall sconce for me one night. He asked me to go check something at our new build and when I drove up this gorgeous light was installed and burning brightly. I was so delighted and happy! I didn't even know it had come in! Don't you love little things like that? I searched and searched for the perfect sconce and let me tell you, I am persnickety about such things ha! This one is absolutely perfect and I am super pleased with the way it turned out. It is even prettier in person!

5. HEB Grocery Delivery
I am so thankful for grocery delivery! With four kids, homeschooling, baseball, church and a DIY new build we are spinning in circles right now. HEB delivery is so helpful and saves me hours of time. One of the best things about HEB home delivery is that they keep track or your previous orders so if you meal plan, all you have to do is pull up the HEB to you website on your phone or computer and re-order what you ordered previously. It is such a convenience during this incredibly busy season of our life. It does cost a little more but I actually save quite a bit by not buying on impulse and sticking to my meal plan. Also, if time is money then I am saving a ton both ways.

So that's it for my five Friday favorites. Thank you for reading! Praying blessings for you today.
Grace & Peace,
Adoring Family

  1. Great post! We are here thinking of ways to save for our dream home, as well and be debit free. We're thinking of building it in a warmer place, out of Utah.
